At last! Someone intelligent enough to feel my pain! I honestly don't think that sending a 'relief package' or 'naming a sewer plant' after someone falls under the category of social networking. I liken them to people who only forward and never write. The only difference is the real-time factor.

The whole 'causes' thing is even more annoying. Am I supposed to hold higher regard for a "friend" because he/she supports the race for the cure or for abolishing the gay marriage ban? My opinion is who gives a f***! I am liberal and believe in these causes but I don't wear them on my sleeve or feel that Facebook is the proper venue for this (or for the mulitude of "fan" notifications). These people need blogs, not Facebook accounts.

Finally, I've come to the conclusion that a larger number of "friends" are closet voyeurs. I'm talking about the ones who never say anything to you after you accept them. If I don't hear anything within 24 hours, I "kick them off the island."

If the Rain Forest suffers because I block all Lil' Green Patch requests, then go ahead and damn me for doing so. I'll just create an anti-damnation cause and virtually nullify it!

I especially get annoy when I'm visiting some1's profile and want to leave a comment on their wall but first i have to made my way through a longgggggggggggggggg list of useless application!

Wow, I was just thinking about this yesterday. Whole Foods does the same thing (has recycling bins for bags) and I bet they throw them out. I mean, there would be a lot of work in sorting through the bags to see which ones are usable and tossing the ones that are stretched out or likely to break on customers. I bet it's just to present themselves as if they are enviro-friendly and "green." And yet they still fly in fruits from half-way across the world in big jet airplanes....

Scrybe is very diligent in emailing the to-do events. In contrast, the online calendar of MobileLiving isayusay is designed for cell phones. With one-click sync, online events are quickly downloaded to a cycle-thru browser for instant click-to-call with notes lookup and texting with ready-to-send messages.

I wonder if what your friend told you is common practice or something he knows to be factual and takes place daily, or if it hapened to be the exception and not the rule? I do believe that the environment is vital to the future welfare of the world, but also recognize that most companies have made significant progress in becoming more "green".
